Premier League 2025-2026: Everton-Manchester United, the likely lineups

At the Hill Dickinson Stadium the spotlight is on one of the great English classics: Everton–Manchester United, a match that closes the 27th day of the Premier League. Kickoff at 9 p.m. David Moyes’s team (great former of the challenge) is having a positive season. With 37 points, the “Toffees” with positive results in the next few games can still hope for a Conference League spot. But the Liverpool team is coming off a scorching 2-1 loss to Bournemouth and has not won at home since December.
The “Red Devils” led by interim coach Michael Carrick (who took over from Ruben Amorim last month), are experiencing a golden moment. They are coming off a streak of nine consecutive useful results in the league and are fighting to secure a place in the Champions League.
The hosts will have Grealish unavailable due to a foot injury and O’Brien due to an ejection picked up in the last match. Pickford will defend the posts, Tarkowski and Brainthwaite will be the centerbacks, in the midfield the veteran Gueye along with Garner’s former player of the day, Armstrong and Ndiaye on the flanks to support Barry as the only forward.
The guests will have to do without De Ligt, Dorgu and Mount all struggling with physical problems. Defending the posts is Lammens, Maguire and Dalot and Shaw will act as full-backs, Casemiro and Mainoo in the middle of the field, and Diallo, Bruno Fernandes and Mbeumo will stand in support of Sesko.
The visitors will have to play a fullback.
