Jürgen Klinsmann cheers against Bayern Munich on the market

Bayern Munich is looking for a new defender to expand Vincent Kompany’s options and to guard against the very likely departure of Kim Min-jae, who is determined to leave Bavaria to find a team where he can play with more continuity. Max Eberl has already drawn up a long list of targets and among them is Yann Bisseck of Inter’s Yann Bisseck.
Jürgen Klinsmann, interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, hopes, however, that the German champion will not move on: “I continue to have a soft spot for him: he is simply very strong. I hope he goes to the World Cup with Germany but also that he stays at Inter for a long time. I imagine big teams will knock on his door, but are you sure he can be better elsewhere or grow as well as in Milan”. The former German striker also likes Pio Esposito, a young Nerazzurri talent, very much.
“I like him because he doesn’t know fear at all and always maintains the right level of confidence: that’s the dowry you need to do a feat like this. Then, if he misses a goal, he only despairs with himself and never with the teammate who passed him the ball: he really is a dragger despite his 20 years of age. But I expect the same leadership from other Inters like Barella, Bastoni or Dimarco. It’s the Italian axis that in a match like the one with Bodø/Glimt has to raise the level and drag the others”.
Yann Bisseck is not the’only market target for Bayern Munich defense, there’s another young German on the Bavarian club’s list: Malick Thiaw. The center-back moved last summer from AC Milan to Newcastle for 35 million euros but in England they claim he is not overjoyed with his experience and do not rule out a transfer in the upcoming summer soccer session. Convincing the English to sell him will not be easy: Thiaw has a contract until 2029 and managers consider him important for the team’s future.
