Competition for Alphonso Davies, Bayern targets Juventus star
Market meetings among Bayern Munich executives have been intensifying in recent days and priorities are being set for the upcoming summer session. Among the positions that will have to be strengthened is certainly that of right-back: Alphonso Davies is too often prone to injury and Raphaël Guerreiro is on contract expiration. The Portuguese player is required by Jose Mourinho at Benfica and could therefore leave the Bavarian club for free in a few months.
The search for a possible new left-back has already begun and on Bayern Munich’s list is also the name of Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus. The player is having some difficulties but his talents are not in question and only a few months ago Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City tried to buy him but failed to close the deal. Now the Bianconeri do not consider Cambiaso to be non-transferable and are willing to listen to any offers but it will have to be understood whether the player will be willing to serve as Alphonso Davies’ backup.
Bayern Munich also has in its sights Eintracht Frankfurt starlet Nathaniel Brown, star of an excellent season so far graced by 3 goals and 6 assists. Vincent Kompany likes the player very much, but Eintracht’s valuation exceeds 50 million euros, a very important figure that puts Bayern Munich in trouble.Max Eberl would like to keep costs down to reinforce the defense so as to have more resources for a big strike in attack.
For the offensive department, the main target is definitely Yan Diomande: the Ivorian champion could ask for a transfer in case Leipzig fails to qualify for the next Champions League and Bayern Munich is lurking. Given also the competition from Liverpool, Diomande’s price could come close to 100 million euros.
There’s also the Bradley Barcola idea, long on Bayern Munich’s radar. The talented Frenchman is currently tied to Paris Saint Germain with a contract until 2028 and the Bavarians will have to make a very substantial offer to acquire him: his value is around 70 million euros but PSG’s demand will surely be higher.
