Thursday evening, at 6:45 p.m., the Franchi will try to push Fiorentina into the Conference League round of 16 in the return leg against Jagiellonia. They will restart from the clear 3-0 win in the first leg for Vanoli’s team, which wants to continue the European dream after rearing its head again in the league, although it cannot yet say calm.

On the other hand, the Poles arrive in Florence with nothing to lose. Jagiellonia will bet everything on its defensive solidity and restarts to attempt a feat that could prove historic. For the Viola, there is only one goal: to win in order to dispel any doubts and continue a European path that in recent editions has given more than one satisfaction, even if not the material one of the trophy.

Vanoli relies on his starters. Piccoli will be the offensive reference, supported by the quality of Harrison and Fazzini in the three-quarter. In the midfield, the muscles of Ndour and Mandragora will act as a screen in front of Comuzzo and Ranieri, while on the flanks the thrust of Dodô and Gosens will be key to winning the game.

Siemieniec will be the main player.

Siemieniec responds with a specular form. Pululu will act as the only forward, supported by the talent of Imaz and the quickness of Jozwiak. In the midfield, Romanchuk will have to dictate the tempo to stop the violets’ play, while the central pair Vital-Pelmard will be called upon to make a self-sacrificing match to try for a resounding comeback.

The likely lineups

FIORENTINA (4-2-3-1): Lezzerini; Dodo, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Ndour, Mandragora; Fabbian, Harrison, Fazzini; Piccoli. All. Vanoli.

JAGIELLONIA (4-2-3-1): Abramowicz; Wojtuszek, Vital, Pelmard, Wdowik; Mazurek, Romanchuk; Pozzo, Imaz, Jozwiak; Pululu. All. Siemieniec.
