Lewis Hamilton revives Ferrari and points to the 'wing "Macarena"

It was a satisfied Lewis Hamilton who appeared in the mixed zone at the end of Sprint qualifying for the China GP, the second round of the 2026 World Championship. The Briton will start the short race at the Shanghai circuit in fourth place, behind the Mercedes duo of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli and alongside reigning world champion Lando Norris of McLaren. Hamilton said there is still a lot of work to be done, however, saying he is optimistic about the future.

“I’m very happy – began Hamilton speaking to reporters -The guys in the team, yesterday, did an outstanding job: we revolutionized the car and now the feeling is really positive. In the corners we can play it, but on the straight we still lose too much to Mercedes. There is a lot of work to be done on the power front, but we were aware of that: they started before everyone and today they enjoy a clear advantage”.
