F1, Japanese GP: Charles Leclerc has no intention of settling

This weekend there is racing in Suzuka, site of the Japanese GP. The first two stages of the World Championship have certified a rather obvious superiority, at the power unit level, on the part of Mercedes. The only one to stay in its wake has been Ferrari, which has shown interesting potential. However, the Cavallino’s goal is to be able to close the gap with the Silver Arrows as soon as possible.
“This World Championship will be all about the updates that each team will bring from time to time. We are in an acceptable position as Ferrari, but of course we are not here just to make podiums: we want to win races, which at the moment seems very difficult because Mercedes is at a very high level. But the people in the factory are working hard to bring updates,” Charles Leclerc’s words during the drivers’ press conference.
The Monegasque has started the season quite well but, clearly, he does not want to settle for just bringing home podiums. Ever since he arrived at Ferrari, Charles Leclerc has been dreaming of fighting for the World Championship and, to do so, he needs to be able to win as many GPs as possible. After a disastrous season with Ferrari far behind McLaren, this start of the World Championship has revived the Monegasque who, however, wants to go further, starting with the Japanese GP.
There is also room for a judgment on the new Formula 1. Qualifying does not excite him (but there is news coming from the FIA in this regard) but, in the race, Charles Leclerc admits that there is no shortage of fun: “I was positively surprised. At least for us who are in front, it was much better than I thought it would be. Definitely there are some artificial overtaking. However, there are also many overtakes that are actually on the limit and where you find yourself in a similar state of battery at the same time for different circumstances, which makes it all fun.”
