After a home win in Trieste, Reyer Venezia returns to the home court of Palasport Taliercio for a fascinating challenge. On Sunday, March 29, with the ball at 4 p.m., the Orogranata will host Dolomiti Energia Trentino for the 24th day of the LBA regular season. A classic of the Italian league that puts heavy points up for grabs ahead of the playoffs.

Sunday will feature challenge number 41 between the two teams, considering the 37 previous ones in Serie A (including the 2017 Scudetto Final won by Reyer 4-2), the two Supercup games and the Eurocup quarterfinal played last March 13 (won by Trento 94-90 in overtime). In the last 8 games Trento has won 7 times. Overall, Venice is ahead 21-19 overall and 13-8 in challenges played at home.

“We have prepared the game as usual,” said coach Neven Spahija in the press conference. “We know where we have gone wrong in the past, but I think that right now the team is at a high level, definitely different than two weeks ago. We are playing at home, in front of our crowd that always gives us a lot of energy, and we want to continue on our way.”

“Trento is a very aggressive team with a very high level of offensive rebounding,” added the Croatian coach. “On our side, being the first team in the league for defensive rebounds, we have to take our responsibility and take the court much more focused than we showed in the previous two challenges against them.

“Together with our fans, we are a better team: if we stick together, we are stronger and can do great things,” concluded the head coach of the Orogranata team, third in the standings with 32 points, which is chasing its fourth consecutive LBA victory to stay in the wake of Germani Brescia, second at 34, and Virtus Bologna, the leader with 36 points.
