Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo to Canal Plus described the nightmarish situation at Yamaha’s home after the first three races of the MotoGP World Championship. “There is nothing to salvage from this weekend, I tried to experiment in the race because we are so far away that we have nothing to lose, but it is clear that they are not working. The team has no ideas on how to solve the problems we have,” he said after the Gp in Austin, Texas.

The transalpine rider will leave the team at the end of 2026 to move to Honda HRC: “I knew it was going to be a long season, mentally I have to stay calm. The month off will serve me to disconnect completely.”

Teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu managed to gain a point: “I wanted at all costs to win the first point. And I finally succeeded. I’m also having fun in the race because I’m learning a lot. I followed Fabio for many laps and I also understood something. But still, you know, every day and in every race we can, we improve. I finally got the first point in MotoGP.”

“Now I’m just trying to learn more and fight for really special results. But we’ll see. Now we have about three weeks off. I think we will continue training and see in Jerez,” concluded the Turkish rookie.
