Apu Udine president Alessandro Pedone is looking forward to the derby with Trieste. “We have to live these games with great lucidity and determination: to have fun, to entertain our public, but with the awareness that every match is fundamental. And on Sunday it will be even more so,” he told Messaggero Veneto.

“I expect a challenge of very high intensity, but above all a great show for the whole regional and national basketball movement, thanks to the transport and involvement of the public. Every game for us is a battle, and Sunday’s will be no exception,” he added.

“The derby obviously adds charm and significance, but our focus remains clear,” he then stressed, “We have to win in order to achieve our goal, which has always been salvation. In the rankings at the beginning of the season they gave us last, we knew that the jump to A would entail major difficulties. The Friulian public has not experienced a derby in Serie A for too long, and we are happy and honored to be able to bring back this emotion.”
