Torino hunting for free shot, likes young Senegalese man

We are less and less away from the summer soccer market session, and Torino is hard at work drawing up a list of priorities to fix the team and correct the flaws seen this year. Gianluca Petrachi is in search of a new defender given the departures of Guillermo Maripán and Saba Sazonov and the return to Naples of Luca Marianucci.
The Granata club in the last few hours has set its sights on Arouna Sangante, a young French defender whose contract is expiring with Le Havre. The club has made several renewal offers to the champion, who, however, seems determined to change his shirt to try a new experience.
Sangante’s is not the only name on Gianluca Petrachi’s notebook: there is also the hypothesis Sead Kolasinac. The seasoned Bosnian defender does not seem to be included in Raffaele Palladino’s future plans and could leave Atalanta on a zero-parameter basis starting in July.
Another big issue of Torino’s summer will be that of the goalkeeper: Franco Israel has disappointed expectations and the Granata club is looking for a buyer for the bulky redundant. The Uruguayan extreme defender arrived under the Mole last summer from Sporting for 4 million euros and so far with the Granata jersey has collected 10 appearances and conceded 18 goals.
Alberto Paleari, 33 years old with a contract expiring in 2027, is expected to return as a second-teamer next season and for the starting role there are two strong candidates: Lorenzo Montipò and Wladimiro Falcone. Also watch out for the Dominik Livaković option, eager to relaunch himself after negative experiences at Girona and Dinamo Zagreb.
