Milan market, for Leon Goretzka 5 million euros per'year is not enough

Looking ahead to next summer, Leon Goretzka’s name stands out among the most interesting zero-parameter bargains. The 1997-class midfielder, a star player with Bayern Munich and the German national team, seems ready to make a change of scenery and open up to a new experience, with Serie A among the possible destinations.

Among the clubs most attentive to the situation is AC Milan, which dreams of reinforcing its midfield with a graft of great quality and experience. The idea would be to pair Goretzka with Luka Modric (in case of renewal) and Adrien Rabiot, creating a top-level department ahead of a season that could take the Rossoneri back into the Champions League. On the table would be an offer of about 5 million euros per season for three years, even in light of possible exits such as those of Youssouf Fofana and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

However, the negotiation does not promise to be simple. The player’s agents, on the strength of an interest that goes far beyond Italian borders, would ask for about 7 million euros annually plus a substantial signing bonus, around 10 million. High demands but not impossible to meet, especially for clubs aiming to be among the European protagonists on a stable basis.
