Serie A 2025-2026: Roma-Pisa, the likely lineups

Friday’s advance at the Stadio Olimpico between Roma and Pisa officially opens the 32nd day of Serie A. The match, scheduled for 8:45 p.m., promises to be a decisive crossroads for both sides’ ambitions in this final sprint. For the Giallorossi, the challenge takes on the contours of a last call. Reduced by the heavy drubbing at the San Siro and slipping four lengths behind fourth-placed Como in the standings, the hosts are called upon to reverse a worrying course. With a haul of just one win in their last five matches, Roma must necessarily find the three points again if they are not to see the Champions League train vanish for good. Winning tonight would not only mean turning the page after the recent disappointments, but it would serve to restore oxygen to an environment that demands immediate answers to continue dreaming of the Europe that counts.
On the opposite front, the Tuscans now need a genuine sporting miracle to avoid relegation. The Nerazzurri currently occupy the last rung of the standings, a full 9 lengths behind fourth-last Cremonese. The illusion of a possible comeback was born three rounds ago thanks to the victory against Cagliari, a success that seemed to have injected the necessary courage for the final sprint. However, subsequent stops against Torino and Como abruptly brought the environment back down to earth, extinguishing enthusiasm and minimizing the margin for error. For Pisa, coming out of the Olimpico unscathed is not only a matter of prestige, but the only way to keep alive a faint hope of staying in the category.
Gasperini has to deal with the usual injuries in the offensive department: Dovbyk, Dybala and Ferguson are still in the pits, in addition to them Mancini, Wesley and Kone are out due to muscle problems. The Giallorossi coach relies on Svilar between the posts, Ghilardi, Ndicka and Hermoso forming the defense, Celik and Rensch on the flanks, in the middle of the field Cristante is favored over El Aynaoui. Forward Soulè and Pellegrini in support of the irreplaceable Malen.
Hiljemark with Semper ahead of Scuffet between the posts, captain Caracciolo and Canestrelli in the middle, Aebischer in the box with Tramoni at his side. Forward Moreo with Meister ahead of Durosinmi.
