Twice ahead, twice caught up: between Catanzaro and Modena ends 2-2 at Ceravolo, at the end of an intense challenge conditioned by a thick fog. Pittarello and Rispoli signed the goals for the Calabrians, but in the recovery it was Pedro Mendes who gave the Emilians a very heavy draw. The race for fifth place thus remains wide open: giallorossi at 55, Modena at -3 but with a four-point margin over Juve Stabia.

Aquilani finds Pittarello again from the first minute and places him alongside Iemmello, while on the three-quarter the duel between Liberali and Massolin stands out. The start is immediately in favor of the hosts: on 7′ Pittarello unblocks with a header on the development of a corner, validated after a long Var check. Modena responds at the first useful lunge, in the 27th minute, when Adorni soars on Cotali’s cross and signs the 1-1. The guests gained confidence and came close to taking the lead, but also risked on a near-autonomous goal avoided by a great intervention by Pezzolato. Before halftime, however, it was Catanzaro again to strike: Rispoli, class of 2006, found his first goal in Serie B with a powerful conclusion on an assist from Liberali, making it 2-1.
In the second half, the pace dropped and chances were scarce. Sottil tries to change something by inserting Tonoli, but Modena struggles to make itself dangerous. Catanzaro loses Iemmello to injury, and newcomer Di Francesco immediately comes close to scoring by hitting the crossbar. The only real ringing of the guests comes with De Luca, stopped by Pigliacelli.

To take the scene in the final, however, is the fog, which envelops the Ceravolo until the minutes of recovery. And it was just past the 90th minute that Modena found the reward for its tenacity: in the 94th minute Pedro Mendes, who had just entered, was the quickest on a loose ball in the area after a corner and signed the final 2-2.
