Flavio Roda celebrates the Azzurri: "Successes in all disciplines"

FISI President Flavio Roda at the Media Day of the Italian Winter Sports Federation held in Milan made a flattering assessment of the season that has just passed. “I have to thank the Armani group. To thank because I think it is very important for us to have Armani by our side, it gave a touch of elegance and something maybe lacking in our Federation. And also the closeness and the availability let’s say daily that there is from the whole group, from all the people who work in Armani. So this really gave the possibility to our athletes, to our technicians to have performance clothing for competitions but even more so everything that is technical support. So this is very important.”
“On the Olympics, there is one thing that I think finally this Federation is really called Winter Sports Federation because all the athletes, in all our disciplines, have achieved important results. And this is a great success. In the past we always had results, but they were in one discipline or another, instead this set of results of the whole federation is the great success.”
“So it means that really an important work has been done, a work on all sports and this is the thing that gratifies the Federation the most. I think also our whole world because all these athletes really means that they gave their best and finally we managed to get a great result together and therefore of the Federation.”
“Reprogramming the four-year period is thinking about the future perspective. We have to keep in mind that we have to work on youth activity and at the same time try to maintain the excellence we have, that is, the athletes who have made history and who have worked so hard. The task of a federation is to give the most in sports in general and not to neglect the whole. Fisi tries to be closer to all athletes and that is the most important thing. All the athletes have shown determination and seriousness. All the kids who are committed to sports are also committed to life, and it’s a great message for young people.”
