Catanzaro grabs Juve Stabia in the final and closes out Serie B Saturday
With a 1-1 draw between Juve Stabia and Catanzaro, Saturday’s Serie B schedule closed, as far as day number 35 of the cadet championship is concerned. At the “Menti,” in a challenge that pitted two teams destined to play in the playoffs against each other, the Vespas took the lead thanks to a goal scored on 18′ of the first half by Mosti, but the Calabrians grabbed the equalizer on 43′ of the second half, thanks to Di Francesco’s goal.
As for the rest of today’s program, the day marked the clear 3-0 victory of top-ranked Venezia at home to Bari: Haps scored at the San Nicola, at 19′ and 46′ of the first half, and Adorante at 7′ of the second half, goals that allow the lagunarians to maintain the three-point margin over Frosinone and Monza.
