A new name pops up for Torino’s attack: he already plays in A

In the last few weeks work has intensified at Torino to prepare the squad for next season, and the attack will be one of the departments most involved in the restructuring. Urbano Cairo is ready to listen to possible offers for Duvan Zapata and also Ché Adams is not non-transferable: the Scot’s contract expires in 2027 and, if he does not sign by the summer, he could pack his bags.
Recently, as far as incoming movements are concerned, the name of Gift Orban from Hellas Verona has popped up. The Nigerian star arrived in Italy last summer from Hoffenheim on loan with the right of redemption, but the Scaligeri’s standings situation makes the chances of seeing him in the Gialloblù jersey next season practically nil.
Hoffenheim at the moment does not seem willing to bring Orban back to the base and could therefore agree to a new loan of the center forward. Also complicating Hellas Verona’s redemption is the unpleasant incident involving him at the end of the last match against AC Milan, when outside the stadium he got out of his car and collided with a fan.
“I would like to sincerely apologize to all the fans for my behavior. I am sorry that I ignored those who were approaching for photos and autographs. You deserve respect and at that moment I did not live up to it. I am also deeply sorry for how I reacted afterwards: there is no excuse for losing my temper and I take full responsibility. I am committed to learning from this mistake and doing better. The fans are a fundamental part of this club and I appreciate the passion and loyalty you show every day. I will work hard to win back your trust, not just with words, but with deeds,” Orban later wrote on social media.
