Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia: "Having c..lo is not so bad"

Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia commented to Sky on his second place in the sprint race in Jerez, which came at the end of a chaotic race affected by rain. “Sometimes having c…lo is not so bad. I didn’t get a good start, I couldn’t push. I had really little grip and I was struggling. As soon as I saw some rain, I thought I would anticipate the others’ move by one lap. And maybe I did it a lap late. If I had stopped the previous lap, it would have been perfect. But that’s how it went.”
The Piedmont centaur was unable to keep up with Marquez in the finale: “At the end I tried to stay behind Marc, when he came I kept him behind for a lap and a half. When I saw that I didn’t have the confidence that he had and his speed in the wet, I let him go. I was already risking a lot. I noticed some interesting things-I will talk to the team about them. It’s about a part that can be improved and for tomorrow we can improve, should it be wet.”
“Even the six dry laps helped me enough to understand what I can do tomorrow. On the last lap I lost it behind and told myself it was okay. I had 6″5 on third and didn’t push on the last lap. I didn’t want to risk anything at all.”
“Today we made a modification, the one I had put on the bike on Friday, tomorrow we can work on it, keeping it up,” concluded the two-time MotoGP world champion.
