New Basket Brindisi is moving decisively on the market, determined to strengthen its roster for the promotion race and to arrive ready for the decisive phase of the season. The goal is to leave nothing to chance and to be competitive for the playoffs.

According to the latest rumors, the club would have set its eyes on Michal Sokolowski, a Polish wing with an important baggage of experience already gained in the Italian league, where he wore the jerseys of Treviso, Napoli and Dinamo Sassari.

This possible transaction fits perfectly into the groove traced by President Nando Marino, who in recent days had reiterated the club’s willingness to intervene again on the market to further strengthen the roster before the playoffs should the opportunity arise.

A 1992 class, currently engaged in Turkey with Karsiyaka, Sokolowski would represent an ideal graft to increase the team’s physicality and versatility. The final go-ahead could come soon: in fact, the player is expected to be released after the championship commitment over the weekend, allowing Brindisi to complete the deal in time for the final phase and continue its assault on Serie A1.
