Amateur League: Parents Manager debuts in the stands.

Another decisive game is being played in the stands: the passion of parents cannot and must not result in aggressive attitudes. This is why the CSR Area of the National Amateur League is taking action. The initiative involves the experimentation, in three clubs, of the figure of the Parents Manager, in collaboration with the Associazione Scuola Genitori Sportivi, a reality born in 2023 on the idea of journalist Alessandro Crisafulli that trains and informs parents of young athletes to help them support in a correct and conscious way the sporting path of their children.
The goal is to promote a positive and responsible climate in the stands during matches. A figure of reference for families, called upon to encourage correct behavior and manage the relationship between parents and clubs, transforming their presence into a value for the entire sports environment.
Against this path, in the games on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, the “safety box” against the emergency insults to players and referees also arrives, to extinguish excesses and put respect back at the center. Inside, “The Typhoid We Like”: gummy candies to sweeten parents’ involvement in their children’s games. “All it takes is a little sugar” and cheering is sweetened to make respect win, which is the fundamental result to be pursued on and off the field.
The campaign and the subsequent introduction of the figure of the Parents Manager will be tested in the clubs Montespaccato Calcio, A.S.D Bruno Selleri and A.S.D. Union Martignacco.
“Il Tifo che ci Piace – says Luca De Simoni, Coordinator Area CSR LND – is a project created with the aim of making the stands a place of respect and sharing. We firmly believe that sport should be, first and foremost, a moment of joy for kids and families. To give a concrete sign of this new approach, we will do an activation on some fields that invites to mitigate excessive cheering, that which on one hand stresses the boys and on the other does not contribute to a peaceful atmosphere during the games. This is an invitation to experience competition in the right spirit. On this path toward a more serene climate, the figure of the Parents Manager is officially introduced. This is a real structural innovation, a liaison figure between sports clubs and families. The goal is to be support in the relationship with parents in a proactive and constructive collaboration, avoiding tensions and promoting a healthy environment for young athletes.”
“I am very happy that the LND has decided to marry my idea of training and introducing a new figure in the world of youth and amateur soccer – explains Alessandro Crisafulli – that of the Parents Manager. This is a figure that will be invaluable in managing relationships with moms and dads in the best possible way on behalf of the club. Not only with regard to any problems that need to be remedied, but also and above all to propose and coordinate information, training and awareness-raising activities that will then allow the parents themselves to be included in a positive way in Club activities. This is the best way to transform moms and dads from loose cannons into solid, and conscious, allies: of their children and of the clubs themselves. Kudos to the LND Csr area for the sensitivity and attention shown to this very fundamental issue as well.”
