F1 GP Miami Sprint: Norris and McLaren back, Leclerc on podium. Antonelli makes a mistake and is penalized

Lando Norris and McLaren strike a blow. The world champion and the stable that dominated last season were the stars of the sprint race at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.Norris, who got off to a great start, took his first win of the season ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.

Also on the podium was Ferrari’s top driver Charles Leclerc, who finished ahead of Mercedes driver George Russell. World Championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli got off to a poor start and finished fourth but was penalized for violating track limits several times, slipping to sixth.

Fifth place for Max Verstappen, seventh for Ferrari’s other driver Lewis Hamilton: the two dueled for a long time during the race. Also among the 10 were Gasly, Hadjar and Colapinto. A minute’s silence was observed before the race for Alex Zanardi, who passed away on May 1 at the age of 59.

At 10 p.m. Italian time, qualifying for the long race: the Mercedes, and in particular Antonelli, must redeem themselves after a disappointing start to the weekend compared to the first three races of the season.
