Play Off Serie C 2025-2026: Campobasso-Pineto, the probable formations

The curtain rises on the second act of the promotion playoffs between Campobasso and Pineto. The red-blues, coming off an up-and-down finish to the championship, take the field to protect the fourth place they won with hard work and merit. To advance to the round, Zauri’s team has two paths available: victory or a draw, since the regulations reward the best-place finisher at the end of regulation time.
Pineto, however, has no intention of playing the role of sacrificial victim. After eliminating Gubbio, the Abruzzo formation is banking everything on the boost of enthusiasm to snatch the pass to the national stage. It will be a battle of nerves and strategy: let’s see now how the two coaches intend to deploy their chessmen.
Few changes in sight for Campobasso, which should trace the eleven seen in the last championship round against Ascoli. Between the posts there is the return of Tantalocchi from the first minute. The three-man rearguard will be led by the trio Parisi-Salines-Celesia, while Lombari and Olivieri will act on the outside lanes. In the heart of the midfield, space will be given to the quality of Gala, Agazzi and Serra, with the offensive duo composed of Magnaghi and Bifulco in charge of unhinging the opponent’s defense.
The Pineto instead should confirm en bloc the team that overcame Gubbio, with the only forced exception of Serbouti, stopped by an injury. Thus, the four-man line with Baggi, Postiglione, Frare and Ienco will act to protect Tonti. In the median, Germinario, Lombardi and Schirone are confirmed, while the tandem Pellegrino-D’Andrea will have the task of supporting Borsoi, the only advanced reference.
Probable formations:
CAMPOBASSO (3-5-2): Tantalocchi; Parisi, Salines, Celesia; Lombari, Gala, Agazzi, Serra, Olivieri; Bifulco, Magnaghi. All. Zauri.
PINETO (4-3-2-1): Tonti; Baggi, Postiglione, Frare, Ienco; Germinario, Lombardi, Schirone; Pellegrino, D’Andrea; Borsoi. All. Tisci.
