The curtain is lifted on the second round of the Serie C regional playoffs: Cosenza, the fourth-strong group C side, makes its absolute debut in the post season by hosting Casarano. The Apulians, eighth at the end of the regular season, arrive at the appointment galvanized by the external blow for 2-0 trimmed to Monopoli in the previous round.

The red-blue wolves present themselves to the starting blocks strong of an enviable roster: eight useful results in the last ten outings, the result of the success over Trapani and the draw in Cava de’ Tirreni. Among the friendly walls, moreover, the unbeaten streak endures since last January 19. On the other side, Casarano sails on the wave of enthusiasm: a positive streak interrupted only recently by Crotone, but embellished by the successes over Potenza, Latina and Giugliano.

The regulation is clear: dry match without extra-time. To Cosenza, by virtue of the best placement, even a draw in the 90th minute will be enough to detach the pass, while Casarano is obliged to expugnate the “Marulla”.

As for the line-ups, Cosenza should rely on Pompei between the posts, protected by a four-man line with Ciotti and Caporale on the outer lanes and the Dametto-Moretti pair in the middle. In the midfield, the keys to the game will be entrusted to Langella, supported by Garritano and Contiliano. The module then envisions Emmausso and Florenzi in the role of finishers behind the offensive terminal Mazzocchi.

On the opposite front, Casarano responds with an almost specular set-up. In front of Bacchin will act Versienti, Bachini, Mercadante and Giraudo. The midfield dam will be formed by Logoluso, Maiello and Ferrara, while the weight of the attack will be all on the shoulders of the trident composed of Chiricò, Grandolfo and Leonetti.

Probable lineups:

COSENZA (4-3-2-1): Pompei; Caporale, Moretti, Dametto, Ciotti; Contiliano, Langella, Garritano; Emmausso, Florenzi; Mazzocchi. All. Buscè.

CASARANO (4-3-3): Bacchin; Versienti, Mercadante, Bachini, Giraudo; Logoluso, Maiello, Ferrara; Chiricò, Grandolfo, Leonetti. All. Di Bari
