In the summer soccer market session, Torino will change a lot in attack: Giovanni Simeone, Ché Adams and Duvan Zapata could say goodbye giving rise to a real revolution. The Cholito is in demand in Argentina, the Scot could be sold for budgetary reasons and Zapata does not fit into the future plans of the Granata club.

Sports director Gianluca Petrachi is already working to identify replacements and in recent days there has been persistent talk of Lorient’s Bamba Dieng, whose contract expires in June with the French side. Born in 2000, the center forward has scored 9 goals in this Ligue 1 and has attracted the attentions of several clubs: in addition to Torino there are also Lazio, Bologna and some English clubs.

Given the fierce competition, the granata are also evaluating alternative tracks and among them there is also one leading to Nigerian Josh Maja. The West Bromwich striker’s contract is expiring and he is unlikely to remain with the Baggies next season: he is looking for a new experience to relaunch his career and prove his true worth.

Growing up in Manchester City’s youth ranks, Maja moved as a youngster to Sunderland and later played in France under the Bordeaux shirt before returning to England to play with first Fulham and then Stoke City. In 2023 he moved permanently to West Bromwich, and his best season with the Englishmen was 2024-2025: 12 goals in 25 games (compared to 4 goals this year in 40 appearances).
