Brescia gives itself a match point but Cotelli doesn’t change his mind about Trieste

Overcoming with the score of 84-80 against Pallacanestro Trieste in game-3 played at the home of the Giulians, Germani Brescia completed the comeback after the knockout of game-1, also going to take back the home court factor in the best-of-five series and giving itself a first chance to pass the round in game-4, scheduled on Saturday always at PalaTrieste.
At the end of the game, at the microphones of LBA Tv, White and Blue coach Matteo Cotelli offered his own considerations at the end of the actual forty minutes: “We knew it was going to be a game full of complicated moments, I had asked the guys to be ready especially from the mental point of view. Trieste recovered important players, but we managed to handle the game with maturity, remaining solid in the back even when we committed some inaccuracies in offense.”
“The aspect that makes me most proud is the attitude,” he added: “We played with intensity, with fire inside, and that made the difference. Already from now we have to think about game-4: the first thing will be to recover energy, because the series is very hard and every game leaves its mark. Now we are ahead but I am not changing my mind about the opponents: we will need the same attention, discipline and the ability to read the moments. It’s a challenge that plays a lot on the head as well as tactics.”
The absence of Della Valle forced Brescia to change its skin: “Without Amedeo I asked everyone to raise the defensive level, because on offense he gives us so much and someone had to take extra responsibility. The team did: we kept Trieste at a low score and that was a key point of the game,” Cotelli concluded.
