Fiorentina and Atalanta end their season with a 1-1 draw: in the match valid for the 38th and final day of the championship, the Viola went ahead with Piccoli at 38′ thanks to a Sportiello duck, but were caught up in the second half thanks to an own goal by Comuzzo.

Vanoli’s team finished in the standings with 42 points, in 14th place, while Atalanta, already qualified for the Conference League, is seventh with 59 points. Purple supporters protested the team for much of the game, with eloquent banners: “Let this season be an example, never again such a debacle,” “You have taken a whole city by the c…, men of m… without dignity.”

After a bombastic start by the Dea, which created at least four goal balls in the first 20 minutes, the lily-headers found the unhoped-for 1-0 thanks to a duck by Sportiello, who awkwardly intervened on Piccoli’s conclusion: the ball ended up on the post and then behind him.

In the second half Christensen avoided the goal of the orobic equalizer several times, but in the 82nd minute he could do nothing on the deflection of Comuzzo, who in an attempt to anticipate Scamacca put the ball into his own goal. After the end of the match many whistles from the Franchi fans for the hosts.
