Serie A 2025-2026: Fiorentina-Atalanta, the likely lineups

The Friday advance between Fiorentina and Atalanta scheduled at 8:45 p.m. opens the thirty-eighth and final day of Serie A 2025-2026. The two teams no longer have anything to say in terms of standings to this championship: Fiorentina, after a very complicated start that led them to fight for relegation, managed to get back up in the second half of the season, managing, however, to mathematically save themselves only two rounds ago in the draw accrued against Genoa. A disappointing season for the expectations and for the lily team’s personnel at the starting tapes, next season’s goal will surely be to leave this year behind and start again with a new technical project.
The Bergamaschi also experienced a season of ups and downs. Beginning under Ivan Juric and with disappointing results, the Nerazzurri’s year changed with the arrival of Raffaele Palladino. The former Monza and (among other things) Fiorentina coach not only guided the team to the Champions League round of 16, beating Borussia Dortmund in an epic double-header clash, but also achieved qualification to the next Conference League thanks to seventh place in the standings. Palladino, moreover, managed to give the team an offensive edge and flashes of excellent play.
Vanoli could give space to second goalkeeper Lezzerini, currently in a runoff with De Gea. Four-man defense with Dodò and Gosens on the side lanes, while Pongracic and Comuzzo will man the penalty area. In the midfield, Mandragora is confirmed after his feat against Juve, flanked by Ndour and Fagioli. Up front, Gudmundsson’s less-than-optimal condition could open the door wide for Harrison as a right winger; Solomon will act on the opposite flank, both supporting the lone forward Piccoli. Moise Kean, who has been grappling with a shin problem for some time now, will still be missing.
A large turnover is also on the horizon for Palladino: Sportiello will rest Carnesecchi between the posts, while the defensive triptych will consist of Ahanor, Hien and Scalvini. A chance for Bakker looms on the left (it would be just the second presence for him in this league due to injuries) with Bellanova ready on the opposite flank. In the midfield, space for Pasalic and Ederson, the latter probably on his last appearance in the Nerazzurri given the strong interest of several foreign clubs. On the three-quarter, the Samardzic-Sulemana pair is ahead of De Ketelaere and Raspadori, ready to act behind Krstovic, the only forward.
