Turn in Fabio Pisacane’s future, could change everything

In the last few days Fabio Pisacane has been insistently approached to the Lazio bench: Maurizio Sarri will most likely leave Rome (waiting for him is Atalanta who will get rid of Raffaele Palladino) and Claudio Lotito has already started to look around to replace him as soon as possible.

In addition to Fabio Pisacane, the ground has also been sounded for Thiago Motta but in the last hours a surprise option has popped up: Sérgio Conceição. The Portuguese as a footballer wore the biancoceleste jersey between 1998 and 2000 and then again between 2003 and 2004, has a special bond with the club and Al-Ittihad is reportedly thinking of replacing him.

Conceição’s haul on the Saudi club’s bench is not exciting: despite a top-level squad he won 21 of the 41 matches played, completing the table 7 draws and as many as 13 defeats. Fabinho’s team ended the championship in fifth place with more than 30 points behind champion Al Nassr, a result that has generated great disappointment among the sheikhs who own the club.

If Sérgio Conceição were to break free from Al-Ittihad, therefore, Claudio Lotito would certainly make an attempt to bring him to Rome, and the coach might accept despite the fact that the biancoceleste lineup did not qualify for European competitions.
