Barcelona bench: rising coach Paolo Galbiati also in the running

Barcelona is looking for a new coach for next season. The Blaugrana club wants a coach who can take over the reins of the team and bring it back to the top, especially in the Euroleague. This year, Barça’s run has stopped at the play-in.

According to Mundo Deportivo, among the many names being approached by Barcelona is that of Paolo Galbiati. Born in 1984, the Vimercate native coach has just won the Copa del Rey at the helm of Baskonia (the third trophy in his career after the Coppa Italia with Torino and the one with Trento last season).

In spite of not having much international experience, Paolo Galbiati is burning the candle at the seams, so much so that he is considered one of the most interesting coaches of his generation.

It remains to be seen if and when Barcelona will step up. It should be remembered that Paolo Galbiati has also been approached by Virtus Bologna, which, however, is currently engaged in the Scudetto race.
