Game 7 belongs to the Spurs. At the end of one of the most beautiful series in NBA playoff history, San Antonio clinched the victory it needed to nab a pass to the NBA Finals. In Oklahoma, Wembanyama and teammates won 111-103 and will now play for the NBA ring against the New York Knicks.

“This feeling, I can’t explain it. It’s unbelievable. We’re not done yet,” Wembanyama’s words reported by ESPN. For the Spurs all-star, 22 points scored. Also important was the contribution of teammate Champaigne who finished with 18 points. On the other side, the final 35 points by MVP Gilgeous-Alexander were not enough to avoid elimination.

“Back in October we knew we had a chance to do well. The players did what they’ve been doing all season, and they handled the biggest moment great,” said Spurs coach Johnson.

“You have to grow from every experience, including the difficult ones,” Thunder coach Daigneault’s thoughts. “And this is the NBA: there are difficult moments. Clearly we’re very disappointed … There’s no one we don’t think we can beat, with all due respect.”
