MotoGp, Marc Marquez dominates in Hungary, Bagnaia on the podium. Marini excellent fourth, out goes Bezzecchi

Marc Marquez won, as an absolute ruler, the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Ducati rider, in his first success of the season in a Sunday race, was more than two seconds ahead of Pedro Acosta’s KTM and about eleven seconds ahead of teammate Pecco Bagnaia, for the third consecutive race on the lowest step of the podium in a Sunday Gp. Marquez had also won Saturday’s Sprint after taking the pole: a perfect weekend for him after the physical difficulties shown at Mugello.

Excellent fourth place for Luca Marini, the first Honda rider to finish and back in the Top 5 in a Sunday Grand Prix for the first time since Mandalika 2025. Valentino Rossi’s brother was ahead at the finish line of Ai Ogura (Aprilia Trackhouse), Diogo Moreira (Honda LCR), a more than decent Iker Lecuona (Gresini Racing, replacement for the injured Alex Marquez), Jack Miller (Yamaha Pramac), Enea Bastianini (KTM Tech3) and Brad Binder (KTM), who rounds out the Top 10.

In the points zone also Toprak Razgatlioglu (Yamaha Pramac), Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46), Alex Rins (Yamaha), Franco Morbidelli (Ducati VR46) and Maverick Viñales (KMT Tech3). The only rider outside the top 15 at the checkered flag is Cal Crutchlow (Honda LCR). For Di Giannantonio 5 important points, given the accident at the beginning of the race triggered by Jorge Martin (Aprilia), which also involved and forced to retire his teammate Marco Bezzecchi, Fermin Aldeguer (Ducati Gresini) and Raul Fernandez (Aprilia Trackhouse).

In the standings therefore Bezzecchi remains leader but remains stationary at 180, as well as Martin does not add points to the 160 conquered until yesterday. Di Giannantonio rises to 139, Acosta comes closer bringing himself to 132. Further back is Marquez, who with today’s 25 points still climbs to 108, detaching Bagnaia, who instead moves up to 99.
