Jannik Sinner spent part of his day again today at Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital, where he is completing the course of scheduled examinations after the discomfort he felt in the second round of Roland Garros 2026. The South Tyrolean, who arrived yesterday from Monte Carlo, maintained the same attitude as in the last few hours: quick step, serene smile, no statement to reporters.

According to reports in the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport,’ the package of checks carried out by Sinner concerns cardiac and metabolic examinations, necessary to rule out pathologies or deficits that may have contributed to the Parisian physical collapse. Advanced monitoring, then, to check for abnormalities under stress and analysis aimed at assessing absorption, recovery and energy management. Thorough checks, not emergency, useful to clarify an episode that has left everyone puzzled, in the world of tennis and beyond.

Sinner, in the days immediately following the malaise suffered in Paris, had gone to the J-Medical in Turin for initial specialist examinations. Hence the decision to investigate further, using the specific instrumentation available at the Milan hospital. A thoughtful decision, confirming the Sinner team’s desire to leave nothing to chance.

The focus remains one: to arrive at Wimbledon in top form. After the Monte Carlo-Madrid-Rome triptych that had made all Italians dream and the bitter disappointment in Paris, the world number one wants to start again with absolute physical certainty, to attempt an encore that would be historic in the most important tournament on grass in the world.
