Jeff Brooks away from Trieste, there’s a rumor about Sassari

Jeff Brooks’ adventure in Trieste has come to an end. “Jeff has been a fundamental pillar of our project over the past two seasons,” the warm comments of the president and owner of the Julian club, Paul Matiasic, “Not having him available in the second half of the championship certainly affected our performance, because his basketball intelligence and knowledge of the game are unparalleled.”
“Despite the injury, however, his leadership never waned: his voice and support were heard every day in the locker room and alongside his teammates. Two extraordinary moments that perfectly embody Jeff’s fighting spirit and have written the recent history of this club will forever remain in the memory of all of us: the decisive basket to win the Italian Cup semifinal last year and the memorable tap-in in Hungary that propelled us to the BCL round of 16 this season.”
“His charisma and his ability to drag the fans have infected the entire city. I want to wish Jeff, Benedetta and Jordan the best for their future, both on the parquet and in life,” are Matiasic’s words.
A return of Brooks to Sassari, where he already played in the 2014-15 season, cannot be ruled out, but at the moment we are only at pour parler also because it is not certain that the 37-year-old (the class of 1989 will have his birthday on June 12, ed.) from Louisville will agree to go down to the cadet league.
