Thursday, June 11, Game 1 of the 2026 LBA Finals is scheduled at the Forum. Olimpia Milano hosts Reyer Venezia. It’s an unprecedented final between two teams that have deserved a chance to win the title of Italian Champion. Each of the two has certain characteristics and peculiar strengths.

L’EA7, on paper, has the favorable odds. Deep roster and lots of talent. Defensively, everything revolves around Bolmaro, the Best Defender of the regular season. With him on the court, the team becomes much more aggressive and forces opponents into many turnovers. Then there is Brooks, the reigning MVP. He is traveling at an average of 14 points per game in the playoffs and, when he lights up, it’s tough for everyone.

On the other hand, Reyer is in the hands of its offensive leader Cole. With the exception of one game (Game 2 against Virtus Bologna), the Lagooners’ point guard has always gone into double figures in points. In the decisive Game 4 against the Black Vs, he scored a whopping 30.The team’s barometer, however, is Tessitori. The long man leads the defense and makes his presence felt on offense.

They both love to run but they can also defend very effectively. As in any finals, someone unexpected could make the difference. The red and whites are hoping for Guduric and Ellis, lackluster so far. Coach Spahija expects big answers from Horton and former EA7 Valentine (two points in the last two games).
