2026 World Cup: Belgium vs. Egypt, probable lineups

On Monday night at 9 p.m., Belgium will face Egypt in the first match of Group G. Mohamed Salah and his teammates have never won a World Cup match, but they’re dreaming of an upset against the Red Devils, who are, however, in top form.
Rudi Garcia will play the Romelu Lukaku card, starting him alongside Lukebakio, Vanaken, and Moreira. The experienced Witsel and Raskin will anchor the midfield, protecting a defense featuring Meunier, Mechele, Theate, and De Cuyper. In goal is this season’s big surprise: Lammens.
Hossam Hassan will pin his hopes on star player Momo Salah, who will play alongside Ashour and Trezeguet in support of Oumar Marmoush. In defense, Hany, Fathy, Ibrahim, and Fotouh will start, with Lasheen and Ateya in midfield. El Shenawy will be in goal.
