In an interview with L’Officiel Italia, Lorenzo Musetti spoke about the two top players on the ATP Tour, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, comparing their styles of play: “The most beautiful and well-rounded tennis is played by Carlos Alcaraz.”

“His is the most contemporary tennis. Sinner is impressive, almost perfect in terms of composure, mental clarity, and consistently maintaining an incredible standard. But in terms of aesthetics, the beauty of the game, I’d say Alcaraz. When they’re at their best, these two champions represent the best tennis today.”

Musetti explained how tennis became an immediate part of his life: “I started playing at four years old; I’ve always dreamed of becoming a professional tennis player and have always worked toward that goal. Then, luckily, I followed a path where I was already a pro at 18, so I immediately found my independence from a professional standpoint,” are the words reported by Ubitennis.

The Tuscan tennis player has a great passion besides tennis: “Cooking. In the sense that I’m a foodie and I also enjoy cooking. I was always spoiled by my grandmother and my mom, who are amazing cooks. Luckily, I have a partner who isn’t quite at their level yet, but she’ll get there. My specialty? Any kind of risotto.”

At 25, the Italian national team player is already the father of two children: “It’s not easy to become a father before the age of 21 and make such a radical life change, but given the joy our children bring to my partner and me, it’s a change we’re both very, very happy to have made.”
