The Netherlands and Sweden face off at 7 p.m. (Italian time) in Houston for their second-round Group F match at the 2026 World Cup in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Koeman’s team is chasing its first win in the World Cup after drawing with Japan in its opener and cannot afford to slip up; the Scandinavians, on the other hand, are riding a wave of enthusiasm following their resounding 5-1 victory over Tunisia in their first match.

Koeman has doubts about De Jong: if he recovers, the Barcelona midfielder will start alongside Gravenberch and Reijnders in midfield. In the front three, Malen is expected to play in the center with Summerville and Gakpo on either side. The fullbacks will be Dumfries and Van de Ven, with Van Dijk leading the defense.

Sweden will field the formidable duo that demolished Tunisia—Isak and Gyokeres—with Nygren behind them. In midfield, Ayari will partner Karlstrom, while Bernhardsson and Gudmundsson will play on the wings.
