Virtus Bologna: Pajola is heading abroad, Hunt is getting closer

Virtus Bologna’s transformation continues. Owner Zanetti has confirmed his intention to remain at the helm (while considering the possibility of bringing in foreign investment). Meanwhile, work is underway to assemble a competitive roster for next season.

As for new arrivals, it’s looking increasingly likely that Hunt will join the V Nere roster. The American, born in 1997, has already played—albeit for a very brief period—in the LBA (in Tortona). Now he could don the Virtus Bologna jersey and play in the EuroLeague for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, it’s goodbye to Pajola. After 11 seasons, the V Nere captain is ready to pack his bags. A new adventure awaits him at Red Star Belgrade.

It’s worth noting that the bench has been entrusted to Mumbrù, who will continue to coach the German national team as well. The plan is to try—even with a limited budget—to build a team that can compete at the highest levels, both in Italy and in the EuroLeague.
