Kimi Antonelli or George Russell? The last two Grand Prix races have gone well for the British driver, although in the overall standings, the driver from Bologna still holds a comfortable 40-point lead and remains extremely fast.

Russell’s former boss at Williams, Claire Williams, believes that the 28-year-old Briton’s greater experience could make the difference in the F1 title race: “I believe he is perfectly capable of winning that psychological battle when it comes to trying to win a world championship,” Williams said, as reported by Reuters.

“In the end, it’s the psychological battle that decides the outcome of the contest. And I believe that George, thanks to his greater maturity compared to Kimi at this stage—which is simply due to his age—will win the challenge precisely in this area. I think he’ll pull it off; he’s not lacking in talent. We just need to make sure Mercedes has the reliability needed to finish the race. He just needs to focus and roll up his sleeves.”

In Austria, Russell dominated from pole position to the checkered flag, holding off the pressure from a resurgent Max Verstappen and securing his first win of the season following his opener in Australia. Antonelli, who started from fourth on the grid after a miscalculation in qualifying, dropped as far as fifth at the start, only to mount a commanding comeback to claim the lowest step on the podium.
