June 30 is an important date from a contractual standpoint. It marks the day the season officially ends—and, consequently, the day several contracts expire. In the case of Olimpia Milano, seven players are now free agents: Shavon Shields, Zach LeDay, Armoni Brooks, Bryant Dunston, Ousmane Diop, Stefano Tonut, and Nathan Sestina.

Five of these seven have already packed their bags. Shavon Shields, after six seasons in Milan, is ready to get back in the game with Fenerbahçe. Armoni Brooks, MVP of the LBA Finals regular season, is expected to join ASVEL Villeurbanne. There are many suitors for Zach LeDay, though Partizan Belgrade appears to be in the lead.

The future of 40-year-old Bryant Dunston and Nathan Sestina—whose season in Milan was hampered by injuries—also remains to be seen. What is certain is that they will not remain with Olimpia Milano.

The future looks different, however, for Ousmane Diop and Stefano Tonut. Barring any surprises, both will continue to play for the red-and-white team. Official confirmation of their contract extensions with the club is expected shortly.
