Turin Transfer Market: Cagliari Beaten, Big Signing on the Way. Goalkeeper Also Signed

Torino scores a major offensive coup: According to Sky, the Granata’s transfer team has won the race for Venezia forward Gaetano Oristanio, edging out Cagliari—which wanted him back on its roster—in the final stretch.
According to the satellite broadcaster, the player is expected in Turin next Monday to complete his medical exams and sign a contract with the Piedmont-based club. Born in 2002, he will thus become one of Petrachi’s first signings for Ignazio Abate’s squad: the player will join on loan with an option to buy for an as-yet-undisclosed fee. Last season, due to some physical issues, Oristanio played only about twenty Serie A matches while on loan at Parma, scoring one goal.
Having come up through Inter’s youth system, Oristanio played for Volendam in the Netherlands and Cagliari before transferring to Venezia in 2024. Last season, he played on loan at Parma in Serie A.
Sky also reports that goalkeeper Diego Mascardi, born in 2006, is set to arrive from Spezia. His signing does not preclude the signing of another goalkeeper, who could be Paraguayan Orlando Gill, whose name has been circulating in Turin in recent hours.
