Milan hasn’t yet signed Mario Gila. After officially announcing the signing of Gonçalo Ramos, the Rossoneri are working on their second transfer to present to new head coach Ruben Amorim, this time in the defensive line.

The Rossoneri have been courting the Lazio center back for some time, but negotiations are expected to be lengthy: according to Sky, Lazio president Claudio Lotito has rejected the Milan club’s initial offer of 25 million euros plus bonuses for the Spanish player.

Lazio will have to cede 50% of any future transfer fee to Real Madrid, and Lotito wants to capitalize on this: his asking price is 30 million euros. Gila’s contract expires in 2027, and he has already informed Lazio’s management of his intention to leave the club.

The player reached an agreement with Milan several weeks ago: a five-year contract worth 4.5 million euros per season.
