Pippo Ricci savors the Treble and aims for redemption in the EuroLeague

“I’ve been in Milan for five years; in the end, you make the news mostly when you lose. Maybe that’s only fair, because there’s so much pressure on you.” These are the words of Pippo Ricci, who spoke exclusively to Sportal.it on the sidelines of an event in Milan where the exciting lineups for the new season on Sky and Now were unveiled.
“You’re always the favorite, even though we were eliminated in the league semifinals during the 2024–25 season. It can happen that in some seasons you just can’t get the results you want. As captain, I suffered a lot because it was a difficult year.”
“This year, however, we wanted to redeem ourselves. Winning the Treble means we’ve achieved something truly great, and the more days go by, the more I realize it. We’ve truly done something extraordinary, and I’m very satisfied.”
“Unfortunately, some players will be leaving, but I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and start over. We want to do better in the EuroLeague, because our goal is to go all the way. In the meantime, we’re enjoying this season, which—even though things didn’t go as well as we’d hoped in Europe—was still full of successes and has rightfully gone down in the club’s history.”
