On Friday evening, Pallacanestro Varese announced the signing of Isaiah Roby, a 203-centimeter American small forward, who has signed a multi-year contract with the club. Born in 1998, Roby is a product of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has made over 150 NBA appearances with the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. In Varese, he will embark on his second European adventure following his stint in Ulm, Germany, over the past two years.

“We are very happy to welcome Isaiah to Varese,” Zachary Sogolow, the Biancorossi’s General Manager of Basketball Operations, told the club’s official channels. “Throughout his career, he has proven he can compete at the highest levels, standing out not only for his technical skills but also for his character.”

“On behalf of Giannis Kastritis, Maksim Horowitz, and Luis Scola, I would like to express our full satisfaction with the arrival of a player who combines size, versatility, talent, and great professionalism. We are confident that his contribution will be invaluable to the team’s growth and to achieving our goals,” added Sogolow.

Pallacanestro Varese thus adds Isaiah Roby to its roster for the upcoming season, a campaign in which the club’s ambition is to return to playoff contention after eight consecutive seasons in which it finished outside the top eight in the regular season of Italy’s top league.
