Olimpia Milano Roster: A Date Has Been Set for Mathews’ Arrival, the Final Piece of the Puzzle

Armani Olimpia Milano has done everything right, completely overhauling its roster in just a few weeks without any “wild moves.” In fact, the team is 100% ready for the 2026–27 season, even though Mathews hasn’t been seen in Milan yet.

The former Indiana Pacers player is the last missing piece of the puzzle. A deal has been in place for some time now; it’s just a matter of waiting a few days before it can be made official. In reality, there is a specific date in mind.

The feeling is that Mathews (effectively the replacement for Brooks, who is now a Valencia player) will arrive just in time for the start of the new Armani Olimpia Milano training camp, scheduled for August 17.

If that’s the case, Coach Poeta will be able to start working with his entire roster at his disposal. Keep in mind that the first official event of the season will be the Italian Super Cup, scheduled for September 19 and 20 in Tortona. Then comes a real grueling schedule: a EuroLeague debut on September 25 in Belgrade against Partizan, followed two days later by the league opener at the Forum against Trieste, and on September 29, the EuroLeague derby against Virtus Bologna.
