Trento Announces Its Latest Addition: “Ideal for Our Technical Plan”
Dolomiti Energia Trentino announced that “it has reached a one-year agreement with Darius Brown II, a U.S. point guard born in 1999, who is coming off a brilliant season in the G League with the Cleveland Charge, where he finished as the league’s leading assist provider. With the arrival of Darius Brown, the Bianconeri have finalized their roster for the 2026–2027 season.”
“A 188 cm, 88 kg point guard, Brown is a playmaker capable of creating opportunities for himself and his teammates. An excellent passer, he combines court vision with scoring ability, consistently hitting shots from beyond the arc and attacking the rim effectively. He is also a solid and aggressive defender—qualities that earned him the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year award during his college career.”
“Born in Pasadena, California (USA), on July 28, 1999, Brown developed his basketball skills at Pasadena High School, where he played from 2014 to 2018. His NCAA career began at California State University Northridge, where he spent four seasons showing steady improvement. In 2022–2023, he transferred to Montana State University, where he averaged 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.8 steals. For his final college season, he chose Utah State University, where he finished the year averaging 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, helping the team win the Mountain West Conference regular-season title.”
“In the summer of 2024, he participated in the NBA Summer League with the Cleveland Cavaliers, convincing the franchise to add him to the preseason roster. He then played the season with the Cleveland Charge, the team’s G League affiliate, finishing his rookie year with averages of 7.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.8 steals.”
“In the 2025–2026 season, he was re-signed by the Charge and took another step forward, finishing with 12.7 points, 10.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game, shooting 51.5% from two-point range and 39% from three-point range. He also made his NBA debut during the season.”
