Sell first, then buy. Following the signings of Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila, Milan’s transfer market enters a new phase: the Rossoneri must offload several surplus players in order to sign reinforcements and fill the gaps in Ruben Amorim’s roster.

Several players do not fit into the new Portuguese coach’s plans, but among them, three are already in advanced negotiations to leave. The first to say goodbye to Milanello will be winger Pervis Estupiñán, who is very close to joining Aston Villa. The Rossoneri value the Ecuadorian winger—who hasn’t shone at Milanello—at around 15–18 million euros, and he is one of the few players with a clear suitor ready to pay the figures demanded by the Milan-based club.

In midfield, Youssouf Fofana is on his way out: several French clubs are pursuing the former Monaco player, who has also been contacted by Besiktas. Milan aims to raise around 20 million euros from his sale. The third player on the verge of leaving is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is being tracked by Coventry in England: the Rossoneri value him at around 10 million euros. Amorim, on the other hand, has asked for time to evaluate Tomori, who is also rumored to be on his way out as his contract expires in 2027. Juventus is reportedly interested in him as well.

According to reports from recent weeks, Amorim has already informed the front office of his intention to part ways with Alexis Saelemaekers and Matteo Gabbia as well. For the Belgian—who was indispensable during the Allegri era—the issue is his lack of goal-scoring ability; for Gabbia, on the other hand, the issue is tactical: the Italian center back lacks the attributes required by the Portuguese coach’s 3-4-3 formation, which is why the club has accelerated its pursuit of Mario Gila from Lazio. The same applies to Davide Bartesaghi, who had impressed last season: Amorim is reportedly looking for a more explosive fullback, and the young Italian international could therefore be loaned out or sold outright.
