Turin Transfer Market, Another Signing: Dutch Playmaker Signed. Biraghi’s Future Changes

Torino’s 2026–2027 squad is taking shape. After securing two defensive signings—Eray Comert and Pietro Comuzzo, who are set to undergo medicals in the coming hours—the Granata are about to finalize their third signing in just a few days, this time in midfield.

Kian Fitz-Jim, a 23-year-old Dutch playmaker, is now officially a Torino player. The Piedmont-based club beat out competition from Porto, which was also interested in the 2003-born player who burst onto the scene two years ago in the Eredivisie. According to La Stampa, Torino has reached an agreement for a permanent transfer worth around 4 million euros: his arrival will likely lead to the departure of one of Gineitis, Ilic, or Anjorin. Fitz-Jim holds four passports: he was born in the Netherlands to a Surinamese and Chinese father and a mother from Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Torino is considering the future of Cristiano Biraghi, who could remain with the club for another season. Ignazio Abate is evaluating him in the early friendlies, where he has deployed him as a left-back, and considers him a solid option in that position. The former Fiorentina player remains the only left-footed defender and could see more playing time. However, Torino has not ruled out his departure if a substantial offer arrives.

As for potential departures in midfield, the hottest name remains Gvidas Gineitis. Celtic Glasgow had already submitted an initial concrete offer in recent weeks for the Lithuanian born in 2004, who has made 73 appearances for Torino since 2022, scoring three goals. Cairo and Petrachi value the player at around 15 million euros and are aiming for a permanent transfer: a sum that, if secured, would provide a much-needed boost to Torino’s coffers to complete the roster.
