Juventus Transfer Market: One Deal Leads to Another—Both Alajbegovic and Kolo Muani Are Now a Go

On Saturday, the Bosnian player born in 2007 arrived in Turin from Salzburg, followed by his medical exam. Later that evening, however, PSG also gave its long-awaited approval for the 27-year-old Frenchman to undergo his medical exams, bringing him one step closer to once again wearing the jersey he previously wore from January to June 2025. This time, however, on a permanent basis.
Having passed his initial medical exams, Alajbegovic could sign his new contract with Juventus as early as Sunday. His transfer fee will be approximately 30 million euros, with 5 million in guaranteed bonuses going to Salzburg, which will also receive 10% of any future resale proceeds. As for Kolo Muani, Juventus’ investment will total 38 million to be paid to PSG, plus an additional 12 million in bonuses.
Juventus CEO Carnevali had clarified the details of the two deals in recent days, confirming that both were underway: “We’re finalizing the Kolo Muani deal now; it’s been in the works for a long time. When I arrived at Juve, I read the newspapers and thought the deal was already done, but that wasn’t the case. There were some difficulties, and we had to mend relations with Paris Saint-Germain by resolving previous issues. We’re finalizing the details right now and are in the closing stages. As for Alajbegovic, we’re a bit further behind, but we’re working on it. It’s a significant investment, but a club like Juve must also think about the future. He was born in 2007 and has the qualities we’re looking for.”
As for Alajbegovic, the Bosnian talent is arriving in Turin after a summer that definitively established him on the international stage. At the 2026 World Cup, the 2007-born player—who was born in Cologne but developed as a soccer player in Bayer Leverkusen’s youth system before breaking out at Salzburg— shone in the Bosnia and Herzegovina jersey, earning a starting spot after coming off the bench in his debut against Canada. His performance against Qatar was decisive, highlighted by a mid-range goal and the MVP award, which had definitively sparked an international bidding war for his services.
The competition for Alajbegovic had indeed been fierce: in Italy, Roma and Atalanta had made moves, while Inter and Milan had been monitoring the situation. From abroad, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester City from the Premier League had stepped forward, along with Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Juventus, however, managed to beat everyone to the punch, pulling off what promises to be one of the most significant moves of the European summer transfer window.
The two offensive additions are part of a sweeping overhaul of the Bianconeri’s attacking lineup. On the outgoing front, in addition to Lois Openda—who has been loaned to Lyon—the situation surrounding Jonathan David is making headlines; he arrived on a free transfer from Lille a year ago but has proven to be a disappointment. The Canadian, who commands a net salary of 6 million per season, is attracting interest from several Ligue 1 clubs.
