Juventus Transfer News: Dusan Vlahovic Has Reached an Agreement with His New Club

There’s very little doubt left: Dusan Vlahovic is on the verge of becoming a new Besiktas player. The Serbian center forward will therefore continue his career in Turkey after leaving Juventus in early July when his contract expired. Since then, Vlahovic has been without a team—but not for much longer. The Istanbul club’s push has yielded the desired results, and an official announcement now seems imminent. According to Matteo Moretto, negotiations are in the final stages, and the signing and official announcement could come shortly.

Vlahovic has been persuaded in recent days to accept Besiktas’s offer, thanks in part to the mediation of his agent, Federico Pastorello. The former Juventus striker is ready to sign a lucrative three-year contract: according to Sky Sport, he will earn 10 million euros net per season in Istanbul.

Beşiktaş has thus outbid Atlético Madrid, which had considered the Serbian to bolster its attack, partly in anticipation of a possible sale of Sorloth. The Turkish club, however, has always shown great determination in the negotiations. “We didn’t want Salah’s transfer, and we didn’t sign that player. Our interest is in Vlahovic; we’re working on it and are in negotiations with him,” Besiktas president Serdar Adali stated in recent days.

Another factor pushing Vlahovic toward Istanbul was the presence of Vincenzo Italiano, a coach the Serbian striker knows very well. The two worked together at Fiorentina during the first half of the 2021–2022 season, precisely during the period when Vlahovic was enjoying one of the best stretches of his career. Under Italiano’s guidance, in fact, the striker truly broke out, scoring 17 goals in just 21 games before moving to Juventus in January 2022. It was a €90 million transfer that caused quite a stir, but over the years, it has not produced the results both sides had hoped for.
