Lecce Transfer Market: There’s a line of suitors for Tiago Gabriel, and two major Italian clubs are also in the mix

English clubs are showing interest, and the risk is growing. Tiago Gabriel’s future may lie far from Lecce. The Portuguese defender, considered one of the most valuable players on the Giallorossi roster, continues to attract attention from several clubs, especially in the Premier League. Crystal Palace is reportedly at the forefront, seeing the Portuguese player as a potential replacement for Maxence Lacroix, who transferred to Chelsea.

Bournemouth is a bit further behind; following Marcos Senesi’s return to Tottenham, they have already bolstered their defense with Antonio Silva, acquired from Benfica. The English club, however, has not ruled out the idea of adding Tiago Gabriel to its defense as well. Brentford had also previously inquired about the player.

The main obstacle remains Lecce’s asking price, as the club is seeking between 25 and 30 million euros for the center back. This substantial asking price could actually work in favor of English clubs, which generally have greater financial resources. For this reason, the Premier League currently appears to be one of the most likely destinations.

There was reportedly interest from Barcelona, but the possibility of a move to Benfica on the Iberian Peninsula also remains open. The Encarnados would like to bring Tiago Gabriel back to his homeland to carry on the legacy of Antonio Silva, but they do not seem willing to go beyond 20 million euros. Napoli also remains in the background; the club has been tracking the defender for some time but considers Lecce’s asking price too high. Keep an eye on Milan as well: the final weeks of the transfer window could bring new offers to the Salento-based club.

Giallorossi fans, on the other hand, hope to keep one of the young defenders who stood out the most in the 2025–2026 season for at least one more season. Lecce, however, is aware that a sale could yield a very significant capital gain.
